I’ve had the opportunity to see how Boe and his team operate, and it’s impressive. They treat clients with respect, communicate clearly, and take their responsibility seriously. You can tell they genuinely care about the people they represent. Anytime someone I know in Houston needs help with family law or a personal injury case, I confidently point them to Boe’s office. That kind of trust isn’t given lightly.

After the passing of her husband and partner of seventy-one years, my ninety-year-old mother found herself in a position of profound grief and uncertainty. During this extremely vulnerable period, one of my siblings initiated a legal threat against her, which resulted in a deeply distressing family dispute. My sister and I therefore sought legal representation that would provide not only competent counsel, but also compassion and respect for our mother’s circumstances. Our initial experiences with other law firms were disappointing, as they appeared motivated primarily by financial considerations rather than client care. In contrast, Bowen Law Firm, PLLC distinguished itself immediately through its professionalism, empathy, and dedication to acting in my mother’s best interests. The attorneys and staff focused on what was legally appropriate and sound, rather than on the demands or pressures imposed by the opposing party. Throughout the process, they demonstrated diligence, clarity, and a genuine concern for my mother’s well-being. As a result of their guidance and advocacy, the matter was resolved successfully. We are deeply grateful to the entire team at Bowen Law Firm, including those working behind the scenes. In particular, we wish to thank Lena, Katina, and Janet for their exceptional professionalism and support. Their efforts provided our mother with peace of mind and allowed her to move forward surrounded by those who truly care for her. And now for a final addition to this review. While the lawyers and many others in the law firm remain champions in our opinion, there is one individual that completely ruined the experience. Let me just say that if I wanted to find and hire a collections person, she is at this law firm. After the case was complete (or so we thought), we were told by this person we had to wait for 30 days (no interest paid mind you) before my 90 year old mom's retainer ($5000) would be sent back to her. It turns out we needed to ask one last a yes or no question regarding 1099-int. The attorney was responsive and excellent, but the "collection" person was not. She told us we would be charged for it. When I called her I was told, "you must not understand how attorney billing works". I explained to her I had 10 attorneys working for me at once in my career because of my executive position, my son is an attorney and I continue to have business attorneys, so please don't lecture me. We paid the last invoice (again) and I made it clear that it better not take 30 days to get my mom's $5k retainer check. She promised it would not, but I forgot to tell her that overnight would be a great idea to send the check. She decided to send the check, usps with tracking. As of March 5th, it has been almost 7 days since she sent it. I just check tracking via USPS and the check is STILL MAKING ITS WAY THROUGH THE SYSTEM. When I email the "collection" person asking about this, her response was, "We do not control when the USPS scans certified mail into their system or when the check will be delivered. You can continue to monitor the status of the delivery using the tracking information previously provided." I want to be clear about this!! My mom always paid the law firm's bills as soon as they were received. There was nothing past due!! The sad fact is, a single person can ruin a business' reputation and a great quote I always remembered in my executive career was, "Negative individuals hold back progress and destroy value." I should change the rating from 5 stars to 3 stars but the entire group, save one, is outstanding. Warning, before you put down a retainer, set the rules, get interest on the funds and make sure how they return it to you.

I hired Bowen Law firm as they seemed to have good reviews online and I’m always looking for the best services. Hiring was a terrible, costly, and stressful mistake. My case was pretty straightforward, at least I believe it would have been had they met with me or spoken with me to review a couple of times. I was asking for a document that other firms take a month or two to construct. Instead, this turned out to be a year ordeal, being constantly charged regardless of whether work was done on my case or not and for every minute thing. I now suppose that’s how law firms work but I was never explained this and learned my lesson. This ended up being a frustrating situation as they had multiple paralegals working on my case and the communication between them was subpar. I would speak with the one in charge of my case then my case was delegated to other paralegals or they worked collaboratively on it and they lost understanding of what I was requesting and and did their own thing because things were lost in communication or they made assumptions and after all those months, what I specifically hired them to do, they didn’t do. They said they couldn’t do it. So, why didn’t they inform me from the onset instead of delaying the process and charging me every month, even when the paralegal was out on vacation and work wasn’t done on my case. I specified my request since the beginning, was told it can be done, and then after all those months, they couldn’t do it. They ended up writing out my request but still telling me I needed to go to a notary for it to be valid. Along the way they made mistakes on the documents, charged me for those, and then charged me for their time in making those corrections. I felt like the charge of their work was not justified in the quality and service provided and I did not feel like my best interest were being considered, which was troubling to me. At the end of the day, I ended up wasting thousands of dollars, and still feeling unprotected. I really wish that my experience would have been smooth and positive but unfortunately, that was not the case.
