Bankruptcy is terrifying! It’s made easier when you have a lawyer who helps you navigate the ups and downs. I am a small contractor who got caught up in the predatory lending of the banking industry, and as a result of the 2008 crash, we almost lost everything. We filed Chapter 13 with a 100% repayment plan (not an easy walk). Jonathan helped us keep our word and make it through some very hard moments by going before a judge to work out additional solutions as we battled to rebuild our company. If you are considering reorganizing, feel like you have no options, and need someone to help you — call Jonathan. He will fight for you. He won’t coddle you. He won’t give you false hope. But he will tell you what you have to do and how to do it to succeed. We are just one payment away from being one of the 32% who succeed in Chapter 13, and we owe much of it to Jonathan Mas. 2022 — From 2015 to 2020, we did it. We rebuilt, even during COVID. Now we are booked year-round. More importantly, our credit score is 700+, and we’ve paid off $70,000 worth of new equipment in two years. We’re back on track, and this will be our biggest year ever. Like a few others here, I sought advice from other lawyers before Jonathan. They said it would be impossible to do — maybe they didn’t care as much, or didn’t recognize our fortitude. Thank you again, Jonathan!

As an entrepreneur, you win some, and you lose some. Some losses are harder than others. I couldn’t pay my credit card debt, and I found myself being served by a debt collector for the amount I owe. I called one lawyer who adamantly suggested a chapter 11 because American Express would NOT negotiate once they served. I almost took their advice and cancelled my next consultation call. Luckily I didn’t because Jonathan Mas was my next call. He outlined why a Chapter 11 wasn’t always the best option. He suggest I just call the debt collector and negotiate. Apprehensive, I asked if I could pay him to do it for me. He said he could and would, but said it would be a waste of my money to pay him to do something I can do just fine on my own. He adamantly encouraged me to just call them myself, offer to pay about 60%, and see what they say. I was nervous, but I followed his advice. Within 35 minutes, I was done. Negotiated down to a 60% payment. I got a letter in 14 days saying they’d sent a notice to the court dismissing my case with no judgement. All from one FREE CONSULTATION. I hope I never have to speak to Jonathan again on these terms. But if I ever do need advice from someone like him, I’m going to call him. I think I just met an honest and trustworthy lawyer with exceptional competency. Thank you Jonathan, you definitely broken the mold.

After Jacoby & Meyers bankruptcy attorneys went bankrupt, consumer advocates received all of the case files. We were assigned to Johnathan Mas, a very wet-behind-the-ear "lawyer" who couldn't even figure out how to use his own voicemail or respond to emails. We told him NO THANKS even when his "Services" were offered to us free of charge.. obviously they weren't even worth than that based on what we saw. Obviously their reply shows how clueless they really are. I was offered by Consumer Advocates for them to take OVER my case from Jacoby for free. I declined because of their horrible nonchalant attitude towards me and my case and lack of replies to calls/emails. Since I DECLINED their free services, of course I wasn't a client of theirs, I wouldn't want to be. See what I mean by SLOW ON THE UPTAKE? Not much going on upstairs with these n00bs.
