This agency like all of Maryland’s agencies formed to help us is a joke. I thought that if a seller, who by the way is also an real estate agent that on the business of buying, renovating and selling properties they own uses unlicensed contractors and does not get required permits was illegal in Maryland…however they are not telling some homeowners who purchased these damaged properties that the original seller/agent was not at fault and did not cause them any damages but that the unlicensed contractors were at fault. How can that be…the seller/agent hired without verification of the license the contractors; and there was no contractual relationship with the new owner and contractors. When will we be heard by those who are responsibility it is to protect us. The issues with these agencies needs to be addressed!!

Completely unhelpful. I filed a landlord/tenant complaint form as result of some issues I was experiencing with my apartment complex. It took almost 3 months just to receive a follow-up regarding the matter. By the time they got to my case to offer any type of assistance or "mediation" I had already decided to move out. I understand that there could be a lack of manpower, but my issue with that is that then, comes a lack of urgency. With the state of the economy, housing issues should be one category that receives precedence because it can potentially be most impactful.

Will be calling tomorrow. My name is Derrick Jenkins and I received they Church prayer rug mat from saint Matthews church in 2014. Didn't know it was a scam until today. I will be reporting this church because I used it and wished for 3 wishes and now I'm scared for my life. Something happened when I woke up one day as a 15 year old and I couldn't move like I was being possessed. Please pray for me I really didn't know it was a scam. Sincerely, Derrick B Jenkins Jr

Waste of taxpayer dollars just like FTC, BBB and others. I see why taxes are so high in Maryland because of pseudo Agencies like these that are developed just for the appearance of helping but a really useless. These people are useless and incompetent.

I have had to file several complaints against companies in recent years for various reasons, such as Comcast not sending a check for a credit amount after numerous attempts on the phone. The office is helpful and attentive to such matters, even though it is likely short-staffed. The matters have always been resolved amiably. It is much better to file a complaint with the AG consumer protection division than with the BBB, which doesn't have any enforcement ability. Too often people criticize government agencies, but we should also commend them when they do their jobs.
