Our attorney, Mara Kent, is who I refer to as "the kind of attorney you need". Mara is a top-notch Estate Planning attorney who understands the laws and latest developments that effect nearly every Michigan resident and especially Elder Care planning. She has put together a valuable team of paralegals and assistants who all prepare you to protect your assets. I have enjoyed working with her for our family's needs. She explains topics thoroughly and speaks in plain English. She is personable and responsive. I highly recommend Mara Kent and Ferguson Widmayer & Clark PC. (and the firm has their own private parking lot in downtown Ann Arbor!)

Approximately 5 years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Mara and Alyssa. They were both amazing and helped me navigate a very difficult in my life. Fast forward to most recently and once again they both guided me through updating my entire Estate Plan and Trust. From the moment I met Mara and Alyssa I knew I was in great hands. Their professionalism, expertise, sound advice and genuine compassion is unremarkable. They take the time to listen, answer questions and explain each document so it's easy to understand and I am able to make sound decisions. I never thought setting up a Trust would have such a profound impact on me, but working with Mara was an absolute game-changer. At a time when I was feeling overwhelmed by significant life changes, she was there to expertly guide me through the process of setting up a trust. Mara herself was wonderful to work with—competent, skilled, and efficient, yet kind and respectful. She took time to get to know me and made me feel important, even though my assets might not be as substantial as most people. I now have a solid plan in place for my loved ones.
