The construction of our Texas Hill Country home had halted for months and we began to receive threatening letters from subcontractors and suppliers regarding lack of payment for items that we had already paid to the builder. We felt helpless and did not know what to do. After thoroughly reviewing Law Firms in the area we hired Lang Law Firm. From the first meeting with Sylvan Lang we knew we were in good hands. Sylvan and his team immediately provided clarity to the construction process, our contractual rights, and the arbitration process that we ultimately followed to resolve all of our concerns. Sylvan Lang is an experienced attorney and a good man. When my back surgery resulted in a long-term disability, Sylvan guided us through the process of attaining the disability insurance payments that were very important to our long-term security. He was open about his fees and the importance of choosing the fee structure that was best for us. Attaining and retaining critical disability income is an onerous task. In a time like disability, you need someone that you can trust. For us that was Sylvan. The disability claim was often frustrating. Since I was disabled, I could not think straight or manage any of the necessary information. Technology was impossible for me. Sylvan and his dedicated staff worked with my wife and I in surmounting the many obstacles the insurance company threw at us. Sylvan and staff believed our claim was valid and kept us focused on the goal during the many times we grew discouraged. In the end—- thanks to the hard work and direction from the Lang Law Firm, we achieved a positive outcome with my case. I highly recommend the Lang Law Firm.

Sylvan and Meagan represented us on an extremely complicated Construction Defect and Breach of Contract case. As the case progressed and grew in complexity there were eight parties, some of whom were international and many who were represented by more than one attorney at any given appearance. The email with the final settlement agreement had 22 legal professionals on it. Even with lots of smart lawyers in the room, I always felt confident that I had the best representation. Sylvan has a very rare trait of being able to decipher lots of information about a subject matter and then almost like Google he can recall it in a synthesized manner at exactly the time that it's needed. Under his calm demeanor is a confident lion that only roars when necessary, so the other side knows it isn't a bluff. Meagan is just as rare with her intellect, preparation, organization and equally calm demeanor. By the middle of the case she was most definitely a subject matter expert in this particular construction trade. I have the utmost confidence in her and I am sure that her thoroughness helps Sylvan process so much information. As you can imagine this was not an inexpensive case but the billing was always completely fair and explanations were given without ever being requested. Sylvan reviewed every line item on each bill and wrote off anything he felt was unfair or not necessary before I ever received the invoice. I was completely happy with the billing and confident that I was charged fairly and received great value for my money. Unlike some of the other seven law firms who we were fighting on the case, Sylvan and Meagan were always available to talk or respond to me (or the other parties), even during family vacations. Lang Law Firm came highly recommended from a very smart friend of mine and he was correct. I am glad to have the forum and opportunity to pass along the recommendation to anyone that reads this review.

I contacted lang lawfirm based on thier website stating "We often represent the underrepresented: average people and small businesses that have been injured by large corporations and insurance companies." Their paralegal, Renee, stated that the firm was too busy and referred me to a couple other firms. Those didn't work out so I went back to see if the firm would change it's mind or it's case load had opened up. From there it went south. I explained my situation again to Renee and, again, she shut me down. After multiple exchanges i managed to get a concession of offering a phone call for a full price consult. I found her to be very disrespectful, rude, and insensitive to my situation. Yeah.... Not acceptable. Thinking it was just a bad interaction, and being a resourceful type of person, I was able to get past Renee and establish comms with Mr. Lang. Unfortunately it seemed to me that he had much the same attitude and he also refused to meet with me. All I wanted was a face to face consult and I was offering to pay. Nothing wild or out of the ordinary, however no one from the firm could be bothered to meet with me. I am not sure how law practice is done in San Antonio but I do know this goes against all the customer service tennants i have ever been taught. Represent under represented and average people? Hah, yeah right... This firm is definitely not for me.

I'm a lawyer in San Antonio and have worked both against and on the same side as Sylvan and Brian in various disputes. I have also referred clients to them in the past. They are both top-notch, honest, hard working, and ethical lawyers.
